Romans 8:15 says "For you have now received not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, in which we cry, Abba Father."
God rescued each of His children from being orphans in distress. I was once fatherless, left to struggle in my sinful ways. But God found me, as an orphan in distress, rescued me, and gave me a spirit of sonship through a relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I am no longer an orphan. I am an heir with Christ, in the family of God.
If you are a Christian, thank God for choosing you and rescuing you in your distress as an outcast. If you are not a Christian, seek a relationship with your Father in heaven, who will not leave you as an orphan.
